Finished up..

I wanted to show you a little update on my vintage sofa.  I picked it up a little while back but have not had a chance to take a full picture of it.  I love it- I went with the dark grey linen and added vintage wheels to bring it up a little bit for the room.  I love love it!

What do you think?  Have you had much success with reupholtsering vintage pieces?

Rose Bowl Flea Market...

We took a quick morning trip to the flea market on Sunday.  Always a good time!  I was excited to see some new faces and of course some good friends.  I fell in love with these vintage postal bags- so amazing!  He had a few left you can catch him here if you are interested... (U.S. Vintage Leather 562 400 6680)

I love love these bags too with the linen outfit- yes please!  Brothers of Industry always a favorite!

Always a favorite- the vintage lines.. I resisted this time but only because I have so many that we are making up into pillows for everyone.

The Rusty Bucket was a new find for me- their display was really amazing and I picked up some great vintage frames for a little personal project  that I am working on.  I believe that their shop is located in Camarillo, Ca.

I stopped by A Life of Vintage's booth early in the morning.. She had some really great pieces, love the dress forms and she had this huge antler that I loved.  It was nice to chat with her too as I found out that she reads the blog. (Fun!)  You can fine Sandee at Heather Fields Home and Garden in Westlake Village, Ca.

There were 3 of these beauties... I waited to see the vendor but she was out so I had to move on- aren't they so lovely!

How about you did you hit the flea market this past weekend?  Did you get anything good?  I would love to know.

Also, don't miss your chance to enter our giveaway!

Tufted sofa love...

So I am completely smitten with the tufted vintage style sofa, chesterfield or not I am loving the fun styles out there.  I have a simple high back sofa in my living room from Cisco brothers that has served me well for years- I think 7 or 8 years to be exact and it is still in great shape.  However, you know as well as anybody that girls like me like to day dream.  When I day dream it is about furniture and travel typically.  (the photo below makes me weak!)  So anyway long story short, or vice versa now, I was not shopping for a sofa but you know how things happen when you least expect it, I found a beauty that I could not resist!

This one is so cute with the contrast of the nail heads...

This little beauty looks vintage but it is not..

Love the yellow but I know it is not for me...

So here she is my new to me vintage sofa... LOVE LOVE LOVE   the only question now is which fabric and which color??

Do I go with linen in a natural tone, linen in a charcoal grey, velvet in a light grey??  Oh the delimas I get myself into!

What do you think?  I am over the moon- it was the perfect find for a ridiculously low  price (I am not sure I should say).  I will say that flea market shopping is some of the best shopping EVER!

Spring at the Rosebowl fleamarket

We spent the better part of the morning at the Rose bowl flea market yesterday.  It was a little chilly in the morning but turned into a beautiful day.  It was one of those days where you leave with your wallet empty and your car loaded to the brim.  There were so many fantastic things..  I will share my ultimate amazing super fantastic buy with you tomorrow....

But I still love the vintage mix industrial lamps, fantastic European imports from the boys at Atelier de Campagne, some really great styling by Big Daddy's as well as a large assortment of other great vendors.  These are the days when I wish I had a shop to place all of these fantastic pieces in so that I could share them with everyone for real.

Happy Monday!

Rose Bowl Flea Market...

So we hit the Rosebowl flea market on Sunday morning, it was a beautiful day thank goodness!  I have been really happy with this flea market so far, it is full of great vendors and fantastic pieces!  I completely fell in love with these giant vintage posters and art pieces.  Each piece is mounted on a larger canvas for easy framing and storage.  I so wanted the Louis Vuitton piece but is a little bold for me.  I would be happy to point you in the direction of this vendor if only he had had a card for me.  He is at the Rosebowl for every show unless it is raining on the isle against the fence near the entry.

Some amazing stadium lighting just in case you needed some!  The boat too- there are some really interesting pieces to be found here.

I always love the vintage trophies and coral such a fun combination!

This vendor used some of our Lanet fabric for upholstery.  So so cute I thought!

Irons and Duck so fantastic as always!

I was so excited to see Robert again.  It has been months since I have bought any of his vintage textiles.  I got some great pieces!!  I love them for upholstery and pillows.  There are some vintage pieces that I bought that I would love to reproduce (if anyone has any info on having your own fabric made I would love it).

Fred was there from Grenouille,  I picked up this vintage ledger from him!  I cannot wait to frame it up for the wall!

Of course there were some beautiful vintage clothing pieces, I just have not given into this idea yet.  My sister says I am crazy!

I did get this super cute little hat though.  Fun and great for a little shade on my nose!!

We were completely taken by the pieces in Mark from Create a Vision Antiques.  My sister bought one of his converted lights for her living room.  Which looked so very cool when we put it in!  I am wishing I had one too!

My Bags were so full and so heavy!  I was ready to head out before we even walked the entire show.

We did not find any dining chairs for my sister but we did get her a fantastic little curved back settee, I cannot wait to see it reupholstered and in her space.

I hope you are having a wonderful Monday so far!!
