Greige guest suite by Tracery Interiors

If they invited me I would come and stay awhile. I am loving this guest suite from a home in Alabama, designed by Doug Davis and Paige Schnell from Tracery Interiors. They based the color palette on the colors found in the calacutta marble in the bathroom. Just perfect!

Tracery is a design firm that believes in mixing new and old pieces to make a space more inviting. The chair pictured in the guest suite was purchased from Circa Antiques in Alabama and refurbished for this space. Please check out our post on My Sparrow about this chair and a few other pieces that they reused.

Carrie's new Sex in the City Penthouse apartment : What would you do?

So you have this amazing clean slate... What would you do with it all? Pretend you don't have to bring anything with you that you already have- not unless you want to!

Would you go with a clean Greige look?

Would you go Parisian modern eclectic bohemian?

Kelly Hoppen's Modern Luxury?

Well traveled black and white?

Dark and Moody?

Clean artistic masculine?

Greige transitional?

So many questions... Well which would you choose and which style do you think it will have in the next movie? I am sure they must be putting it in the next movie right? It was such a major player in the last.

A study in White

It is always amazing how all white upholstered furniture can work in a space with just the right amount of accent and texture.

100th post and The Greige Loft in Amsterdam

So I had plans for today's post.. but I had to toss those out and show you this beautiful space. I am just in awe! It is the perfect expression of what I think greige is. It is rough, raw, masculine and feminine at the same time, warm and cool, grey but brown, soft yet industrial.. I could go on and on. I could only dream of creating such a beauty. This is an old sugar factory (1763 it was built) turned into a home with the use of Italian Linen draperies and amazing found pieces.

Thank you all for following me here or just stopping by to visit! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy discovering beautiful things to share with you! Here's to 100 more!

Have an amazing day!

A Collected Life

I just love spaces that scream collected. They are such an insight into the owner- where have they been and where are they going next. Do you collect things when you travel? I am pretty sure that my husband thinks that is why I travel - just to bring something home with me.

Design in the bedroom...

There are so many ways to go with the bedroom... Do you prefer a big bed with multiple pillowy soft layers? Low lighting? Soft texture? Space for reading? Flowers? Four poster bed? Canopies? Who really can say - it is so personal- I think it is the most personal space in your home. So do exactly what makes you happy, relaxed and helps you sleep the night away (if that's what you want to do). Here are a few ideas to help you make your bedroom just dreamy.
