While shopping the flea markets in Paris on our trip we happened upon this sweet garden shop in the area.  I am not sure if it was part of the flea markets or not but it stole my attention in less than a second.  The creative displays made my heart skip a beat.  I snapped a picture of the flower box hedge before I had a chance to see how many inspiring spaces they had created.  

Each was a simple collection of vintage pieces but they were done so well, maybe it was the repetition or the negative space around them I am not sure even now, but I know it was they type of display that sticks in your memory.  I left feeling extremely inspired.  I loved everything about it!

A little visual inspiration for a Wednesday morning..  It is funny how a group of images can inspire my creativity..  The soft color and texture makes my mind race with possibilities..

 

Oh my goodness it has been quite a week and we are getting geared up for a busy weekend too!  I am wishing for this type of tranquility but it is not in the cards!  What are you up to this weekend?

Next week look for some additional changes here on the blog.  I am looking forward to starting up a series or two and you might notice some physical changes here and there too!

I spent the better part of the day on Tuesday looking for inspiration to get my point across.   Often times it is the picture that inspires me when I design but sometimes I search for the perfect photo to convey what I am trying to do.  This week it was difficult!!  I did however find A LOT of inspiration in an archived issue of Lonny Magazine from a while back.. These are just a few of my favorites- there  are definitely more in this issue.  I wish each and every magazine came with so much wonderful inspiration to it!

I have been wandering around the internet for while and was feeling quite inspired.  I dream of doing this with my hair at least one day over the coming holiday weekend.  We shall see how far I get... but I absolutely love it.

I wish I could be this romantic for Valentine's day this year...absolutely gorgeous...

I am currently obssessed with arrows right now- I am pretty sure that they belong on everything..so so cool.

I am planning our next trip and have been reading Janelle's latest book to get ready.  I cannot wait to share it all with you!

I truly enjoy going to market, no matter where you go it is very inspirational.  There are so many talented creative minds that work on the showrooms it is really a treat to see most of the time.  This past weekend we visited the LA Mart for the show and found some great new pieces and some really great displays.  

The Walls in this room were painted gold and were super cool.

Love the paper runner- great idea!

I think I need this even if I have no place for it, so sculptural and cool!

This is my favorite chandelier and I have been desperately trying to find a special place for something like this.. I know that one day it will happen.

I am off to Las Vegas for the furniture show there today, wish me luck!

It seems an odd thing to be inspired by just interior design photos.  I love so many things and there are so many things that inspire.  Don't you agree?  I love the texture and the color combos in these pictures, those types of ideas carry through into design ideas and take shape in interiors.  Just some food for thought.  What inspires you?
