Great Gatsby Jewelry..

Great Gatsby Jewelry

I am getting so excited for the Great Gatsby to come out next month.  Posters are everywhere and promotions have begun so it seems we almost cannot get away from it!  I keep seeing little things here and there on the jewelry from the movie so I thought I would dig a little deeper.  It looks like most of the pieces were based on vintage Tiffany and Co. designs from the period and oh my are they beautiful!

Tiffany and Co designed their windows in NY with the jewelry on display.  I am loving every bit of it so I thought I would share.  I cannot wait to see other wonderful pieces that will be inspired by the Art Deco era.

The Great Gatsby set design

I have been waiting and waiting for the current remake of The Great Gatsby to hit the screens and I am so excited that we will be seeing it soon.  I am excited to see all of the amazing sets and locations as I am sure they are going to be beautiful.   I was scouring the net for photos of the interiors and the buildings without much luck so I had to resort to the trailer.
They are beyond imagination and this is just a peek.

The round pool with JG in the center is perfection.

The color combinations are something I feel like we never see, when we watch the older black and white movies, it will be good to see what we have been missing.  Her clothing below is so chic.

Gatsby's closet and bedroom have a wonderful Art Deco feel to them in comparison to the other spaces which are a more traditional in his home.  I love the quilted walls and the metal railings.

The party scenes will have to be watched again and again.  Each will inspire this years holidays and weddings I am sure.

Not to mention the costumes and the cars.  I may have to see it on the big screen more than once to take it all in.

So are you excited to see this tragic love story come to the big screen?  I am waiting and will be there on opening day..

Water for Elephants...

I finally had a chance to see the movie after reading the book on my trip.  It was really great, the sets and costumes were wonderful and the animals were so cool.

Have you seen the movie?  Did you read the book?  I really loved the book and highly recommend it.

The Romantics Movie..

I just found out about this movie, The Romantics, from J. Crew...Looks great!  Too bad it is limited release!  Hopefully it will come out close to your home and you can tell me all about it, or maybe it will come out close to me and I can tell you all about it!  I am loving the clothes and the locations- what do you think?  It looks like good movie for Katie Holmes to get back on the radar.

Eat Pray Love Sets....

Eat Pray Love is set to hit the big screen on August 13th.  This movie will take us from New York to Italy to India and finally to Bali... it is based on the book by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Looking forward to it.. I cannot wait to see more of the interior sets and see what each location has to offer.  Here is a little sneak peek at the sets and locations.

New York

Italy

India

Bali (Loving that umbrella in the market)

From what I have seen I love the Bali sets.  The little lamp and the moss covered table... so perfect.

Are you planning to see the movie?   I am- we will have to do some reviews once it comes out!
