Time and Texture...

This is just a gorgeous space.. I love all of the different elements that go into making up this photo!!

On a separate note- I am only going to say this one time and I hope you don't mind.  I truly appreciate everyone who takes a minute out of their day to visit here and leave comments.  With that said.. if you would like to leave a comment that is in poor taste, I would rather you did not, and if you still choose to leave a comment that is in poor taste, at least have the (excuse the expression) balls to put your name on it!  I would really rather not edit comments - we are here to enjoy beautiful pictures not be grumpy and rude!!!!

A little something special..

I fell in love with this space. It is not just the striking yellow upholstery on the bed (although I like it), it was that little lamp on the bedside table.  I simply adore a good lamp I think it makes the room, just like shoes can make the outfit.  It is a chance to add a little sparkle and fun to a space that is not totally over the top and in your face.

Gorgeous in the bedroom..

I have been seeing this bedroom a lot lately and I realized that I must share it with you since I have saved it twice already!

The walls are amazing and that door..  where is this place and could I live there??

I hope you are looking forward to a lovely weekend.  We will be hosting an early Thanks Giving dinner here, what are you up to?

House Beautiful's Kitchen of the Year 2010.. The light fixture

I know I know... the blogging world is on fire about the 2010 Kitchen of the year from House Beautiful.. I don't live in or anywhere near New York so I will not be seeing it in person as so many have recommended.  I just wanted to share with you one thing.  I have fallen hard for this light fixture... In my "design world" the lighting can really make or break the space, just like a great pair of (funky) shoes can really make an outfit.  This light fixture makes this space for me!

The light is from Licht im Raum in Germany and it is amazing.. Check out their site for more...

Recently obsessed... Beaded chandeliers

I am suddenly (well I guess not suddenly) but recently obsessed with chandeliers that are beaded. It doesn't have to be your traditional glass or crystals, in fact I really love these with metal and shells on them... Just amazing. The second one would be just perfect in my kitchen nook...
