In detail..

Good morning!  After a little blogging/technology break yesterday I am feeling so refreshed and ready to get the week going!  This image is amazing in so many ways.. well the most obvious is the detail in the doorways.. then the clean simplicity is pretty fantastic.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I have so much to share I am hoping to get to it all this week!

Clean lines and linen...

I fell deeply in love with this home.  Absolutely amazing!  The mix of the linen, clean lines and heavy contrast make it so relaxing and beautiful.

You cannot go wrong with these two, grey cabinetry and tolix stools!  I like the minimalist approach with the shelves and clean lines.  The bevel on the island top is pretty amazing I wonder what material used?  Does anyone know?

I am so glad to find so many wonderful kitchen styles incorporating grey in the design, it makes for some great inspiration as I start to plan my own redo!

Gray in the Kitchen

This is such a great example of a more modern take on the grey washed look in the kitchen.  I love love that refridge but I am sure that I am not organized enough to have everyone see my food all of the time.

I love the marble though it makes such a clean look.

clean slate..

Oh how nice it is to feel that you have a clean slate.  A great place to start from.  That is the feeling each new year brings for me.  It is a time of cleaning out, planning ahead and making wishes for the coming year...
What are you wishing for this year?

Me... I am wishing for..

  1. time.. more time to do what needs to be done and then relax.
  2. travel.. I have many plans floating around in my head.  Maybe the south of France this year??
  3. cleaning out.. time to clear out the clutter and start to focus on what is the most important in family and business this year.
  4. change...this year promises to bring about some wonderful changes for me and my family.
  5. wishes.. I wish to laugh more this year and enjoy the gifts that I have been given.
Happy New Year- Here's to wishing in 2012..

Linen in the bedroom

This looks like the perfect retreat!  I love the floor, the bedding and the drapery... so perfectly wonderful!
A few hours spent here reading during the day would be well worth the hours lost.

currently obsessed with {simple styling}

Some days you need the clean lines of something simple to make everything fall into place.  I am totally in love with these paintings by Amaryllis Truth and this table is screaming for placement in a clients home!  I have to use them both somewhere soon or I will have to buy them for myself!

So loving this!

I find it interesting how my taste varies.. I know that there are people who like one thing and one thing only, but I swing back and forth.  I love clean beautiful spaces and old crumbly spaces at the same time.  I think when a space is well done it really speaks for itself.  Now there are somethings I just don't like but to each his own.

What about you?  Do you have one style that you like or do you like more than one or even a mix?

simple and clean...

I think this space is fantastic.  The windows and the light are the focal point and it is just so clean and simple.  A great place to get away from it all.

Grey and white roman shades

I love the clean lines of the roman shades in both spaces.   Perfect with the thick casing I think!

Gorgeous inside and out in Belgium

This is an amazing property inside and out.  The interior was designed by non other than Axel Vervoordt and the grounds by Wirtz International.  Can you imagine... living in such a day dream?

The vintage flooring and clean lines of the pieces are such a wonderful contrast you really don't need much of anything else!

Light and grey in the Kitchen

I fell in love with the light that seems to be pouring into this space.  It makes the cabinetry almost seem grey when I am pretty sure that it is white.  So simple and clean.

Someday (hopefully soon) I will get to change up the kitchen here!  I found the most amazing tiles for the back splash and I think that they will set the mood for the entire kitchen..

Wishing you a wonderful holiday weekend- I hope it is filled with family, friends and sparkles!!
