Dark grey walls

I love the contrast in these spaces.  With the dark walls you can set off so many wonderful soft colors and it gives such a beautiful back drop for the textures of the wood and the gold frames.  I could just move right in.

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday and a big thank you for reading here!

Dark Grey shower and bath..

I love love the graphic nature of this shower.  It is dark and super cool!  The tub isn't too shabby either.  (lights questionable) :)  It's nice to come across something a little bit different!

Grey in the Hamptons..

The thought of summering in the Hamptons seems fabulous and this would be the perfect spot to catch up some R & R and see how things are done on the other side of the states.   This is just how I would design my beach house if I was so lucky to have one a simple modern eclectic mix!

add a little drama..

Susan Ferrier always knows how to make the most beautiful spaces.  I love this just as much as so many others I have featured here on the blog.  The sofa itself is to die for!  I love the stone on the table to add that extra bit of dark drama to the space though. The color palette is based off of a pair of Uniforms from the owner Mary Pirllaman's Great Grandfather (one shown below).  What an amazing bit of inspiration.  I love everything about it!

Dark grey and the chesterfield

Sometimes simplicity is the most wonderful thing.  Don't you think?  This is so fantastic, I know this is not how one would live- believe me I know that all too well.  But I love the idea of the whole space painted the same color with simple wood detailing to keep it interesting.  I can just imagine it with a great classic yet modern chandelier and some interesting furnishings.  What about you- what would you do?

California style {Ryan Murphy at home in Hollywood}

Ryan Murphy and David Miller's California home is the perfect mix of old California and new.  I love the clean lines of the kitchen mixed with the rustic table and it's wood and leather chairs. Each space seems to pull it off perfectly with a simple palette and clean white walls.

Dark doors

I loved the feeling of this space, it feels lived in and well loved.  That tree I think is what really makes it come a live.  Just that little bit of life in the greenery is perfection.

Preppy Grey..

This is such a fun twist on the dark grey, it is well used in this office space and it is nice to see something a little different.  That desk doesn't hurt either.  I love that they used the rug for texture and I think it makes it just casual enough.

final...

Ahh,  a few little snaps from my final install of last week.  It was nice to put the major part of the work behind me.  There are always little changes to be made and switch outs that need to happen as with all installs.  It seems that inevitably there is something that arrives broken, in the wrong color or just does not arrive at all, and you have to be able to make the decision on a moments notice as to whether making a switch will change your vision for the project or if it will make it even better.
There is nothing relaxing or easy about the install days, it is a bunch of work with the greatest of rewards- a finished project!
