Grey Storage...

These bookshelves are fantastical!  I love the height of the base, it gives them a completely unusual look, in a good way.  Built-in book shelves always make me think of an older established home.
The background is painted an even darker shade of grey which gives it some additional depth.

Euro Trash at home..

I don't know about you but I completely fell for this space in the latest issue of House Beautiful.  They mirrors in the stairway are so gorgeous! I wonder if this would work on a curved stairway?
I might be trying that out.  The entire color palette or lack of is really light and bright, I love it.
This is the home of Annie Brahler from Euro Trash.  I came across their site last week and put it together with some of my favorite images from around the web.

Funny note.. this is the second time I have seen a LV bag used in the photos of a house.  Love that- mostly because this is the bag I have been sweet on for a while...

You cannot go wrong with these two, grey cabinetry and tolix stools!  I like the minimalist approach with the shelves and clean lines.  The bevel on the island top is pretty amazing I wonder what material used?  Does anyone know?

I am so glad to find so many wonderful kitchen styles incorporating grey in the design, it makes for some great inspiration as I start to plan my own redo!

Grey in the Kitchen

I think this maybe my favorite grey kitchen of ALL time!  I love the open feeling with the glass cabinet doors and the large drawers under the stove top.  The industrial faucet gets me too!  In my last kitchen we put in a farm house sink with a faucet like that and it was the best thing I have ever done in terms of a remodeling project, second is my rain shower head.  I also love the mix of stone with the stainless and the butcher block.

Today I will be out at the flea market you can check it out on instagram if you would like @christinafluegge.

grey stripes...

Ahh the grey striped wall.  A great addition to a space that you want to give a little bit of personality without it screaming in your face.  I love the different styles wide, thin, horizontal and vertical.  I think my favorite is the photo above with just that little something added to the entryway.

It feels so beachy and fresh something that seems to be so very Spring.

Wishing you a wonderful Spring day!

Gray in the Kitchen

This is such a great example of a more modern take on the grey washed look in the kitchen.  I love love that refridge but I am sure that I am not organized enough to have everyone see my food all of the time.

I love the marble though it makes such a clean look.

Grey in the kitchen

Okay now this kitchen contains a few of my favorites.. lots of light, concrete sink and counters with white cabinets.  Another contender in my list of favorites.  What do you think?  I am curious does anyone have concrete counters in their house?  How do you like them?  I love how these are thin and simple with a small back splash.

Thank you to Betsy who had more information on the kitchen pictured...  this product is Fireslate which is a combination of cement, silica and other items... kinda cool.

Tufted sofa love...

So I am completely smitten with the tufted vintage style sofa, chesterfield or not I am loving the fun styles out there.  I have a simple high back sofa in my living room from Cisco brothers that has served me well for years- I think 7 or 8 years to be exact and it is still in great shape.  However, you know as well as anybody that girls like me like to day dream.  When I day dream it is about furniture and travel typically.  (the photo below makes me weak!)  So anyway long story short, or vice versa now, I was not shopping for a sofa but you know how things happen when you least expect it, I found a beauty that I could not resist!

This one is so cute with the contrast of the nail heads...

This little beauty looks vintage but it is not..

Love the yellow but I know it is not for me...

So here she is my new to me vintage sofa... LOVE LOVE LOVE   the only question now is which fabric and which color??

Do I go with linen in a natural tone, linen in a charcoal grey, velvet in a light grey??  Oh the delimas I get myself into!

What do you think?  I am over the moon- it was the perfect find for a ridiculously low  price (I am not sure I should say).  I will say that flea market shopping is some of the best shopping EVER!

Grey in the kitchen..

Lately I have seen some of the most beautiful grey or gray kitchens.  I know that these are some of my most popular posts over time.  So I thought that it would be nice to do a little series on them until we run out (could be forever).

This is the first of the series and I must say that I am loving this too..  the grey with the white is very clean and simple and the addition of a little exposed storage or display.

Cement Walls

The texture of cement is so fantastic when it is natural or with a smooth finish and a small amount of nuetural color.  The color is truly an artistic endeavor.  I am using a custom made cement counter and molded sink in an upcoming project and I am so excited to see how they turn out. The finishes had the smallest differences and I really loved them all.

These walls are so amazing with the natural light in this picture.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!  Maybe this weekend I will have a little time to take some photos of my treasures from the last few weeks of shopping.

Grey wash kitchen cabinets

Photobucket Okay so this is my new dream kitchen..  I love the grey wash on the cabinetry and the marble counters.  I am not a wood paneling person but the exposed shelves for the dishes are the bomb!  Okay now I know what I need to do, this with a dark stained island.  I love it when I find something that makes my decisions so easy.

Huniford Design

Huniford Design does the mix so well.  His ability to mix the clean lines of modern pieces with classic and vintage is amazing.  A style that is simple and sophisticated is refreshing in the design world of late.

I love the chairs in the first photo!
