Style in the entry

I love entryways, they set the stage for the home and welcome owners and guests alike. This is the perfect place to set up a vignette in your home.  It is a little bit show and a little bit useful but should always reflect what you want people to see about your house.  It is like a sneak peek to let them know what to expect once they are invited in.

These are a few of my favorites!

Mud room organization...

This is such a fun way to organize a useful space.  Love the mirror to make that last minute check and it seems to really expand the space.

The House of Windsor: Veranda

Some gorgeous peaks at the interiors of The House of Windsor by Veranda.  It looks amazing.  As it should, the designers were a complete who's who of the design industry.

It is open now to the public Thursday thru Sunday until the end of July.

I am loving that kitchen and the flooring in the entry.

Check out more here from Joni at Cote De Texas too.

mcalpine tankersley architecture and the entry way

Your entryway speaks volumes about your home.

I think that McAlpine and Tankersley have some of the
best entryways that I have ever seen!

Don't you agree?

Wood and the olive branch..

There is just something about this picture that just makes me weak in the knees...

Maybe it is the soft curve of the table with the straight lines of the door and the ceiling...

Thank you to everyone who came by for a visit to the greige Shop yesterday!!

Hello 2011.. How will you be? What will we do with you??

I already have so many plans and ideas.

Please come in and stay awhile...

So we are in great need of repainting our front doors.  I would love to have a custom set made with glass insets and a wonderful handset.  But alas this is not to be.  So we are taking what we have and making it cooler.  These are my inspiration photos, many I took while in Boston a while back, I love doors!!  Anyway, I am leaning towards a simple handset like the one pictured below with my exterior accent paint color Sherwin Williams Black Fox.  It is not quite black but more of a grey brown- the best color I have found and I love love it!  What do you think?  We have stacked stone on the front with a lot of grey in it and I think it will work well to have something striking and simple there.  I will be adding Wisteria to the front for a little romance (I just thought of this last night).  I would love your opinion!
