One little peek at this Hotel and I was hooked.  The design has a clean European feeling, with great texture and a sense of history, just stunning.  The Washington School House Hotel is located in Utah but it feels like a complete world away.  

It could be all of the soft greige and white details that are really getting me.  Each room is unique and the beds are fabulous looking!  Can you imagine staying for a ski weekend or the fabulous Sundance Film Festival?  Yes please!

 

Simple elegance in this dining room is just amazing... simple clean lines with just enough detail to make it perfect.  

 It is a wonderful start for a Friday don't you think?  I am almost done with my installations this week, it always seems to take a bit more time than you think, with a little something coming up here or there.  I hopefully will be able to share some pictures tomorrow.  But for now I will take a second to day dream about the upcoming weekend and spending a little time for me.

I spent the better part of the day on Tuesday looking for inspiration to get my point across.   Often times it is the picture that inspires me when I design but sometimes I search for the perfect photo to convey what I am trying to do.  This week it was difficult!!  I did however find A LOT of inspiration in an archived issue of Lonny Magazine from a while back.. These are just a few of my favorites- there  are definitely more in this issue.  I wish each and every magazine came with so much wonderful inspiration to it!

I am pretty sure that everyday this week has seemed like Friday to me and it is finally here!  I love this sweet soft image (even though I like my dolls to have heads) it seems so relaxing.  I have it bad for these vintage tufted chairs.  We are planning our trip to France and I so hope to find one or two for my own home.

I am completely falling for the soft details of this space from the most recent issue of Lonny. The simplicity of the clean furnishings with the vintage pieces is perfect.  Soft and easy going.  This is the home of  antiques dealer Kay O'Toole in Houston.  Just lovely!   

Oh my goodness are we really moving on this new year thing.  Without a moments rest we will be having a photo shoot with One Kings Lane today and then in a dead run to complete some projects for February.  I am looking forward to redesigning the shop and the portfolio site for a fresh new face for 2013 too.  I did take a little time late on Saturday night to catch up on some blog reading and I noticed some very inspiring New Year Resolution lists out there, I feel as if I should make a formal one for myself, how about you did you make a list?

What have you been up to in this new year?

From a beautiful Parisian apartment comes a dreamy bath with a mix of greige and grey along with lovely butterflys.. Oh how I dream of my own Paris apartment.  I love the height that they use in the space- perfection really.

Oh my goodness we are in the final stretch here it seems.  Christmas is so close!  I finally got the house lightly decorated before my guests arrived on Saturday.  It is a little different from last year and fit my mood perfectly.  The lighting was a little off yesterday due to the rain so I am hoping for sun and I can show you something a little nicer.  These are just a few little bits and pieces.  

On Sunday I went to the flea market in Long Beach and picked up a few little goodies including some pillows to finish off the living room.. Love vintage textiles!

We have been searching for the perfect fireplace and I dream of something this beautiful.  Although it would need to be scaled down quite a bit I love the feeling it brings to the space.  This room seems so clean yet comforting and that little touch of color in the table and the pillow makes it perfect for me.
