Restful

So I have decided that the greige fairytale series has run it's course here and I need to move onto something new!  Any ideas?
I have a few but would love to hear what you think and what you would like to see.

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!  This porch makes me think of lazy Sunday afternoons spent reading a book, an actual paper book with real pages, imagine that.

Suzanne Rheinstein's book At Home

Hollyhock

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of attending a talk at the LDC with Suzanne Rheinstein.
It was great to hear her speak about her new line of fabrics with Lee Jofa and her book At Home: A style for today with things from the past.  She is so sweet and friendly.  Her attention to detail in her style and design is amazing.  Suzanne discussed how her travels and life influence her design and the different fabrics that she put together with Lee Jofa.  The book is full of the most beautiful photos of her designs and her homes- love it!

It is always so nice to meet people in person - I highly suggest if given the chance that you go out and meet and attend as many of these great events that the design centers across the country host.  It is perfect way to personalize their design and see what inspires them in their work, which in turn will inspire you!

For more about Suzanne check here and here you can also grab a copy of her beautiful book on the right!

Josephine Ryan and Essentially French

Josephine Ryan who brought us French Home has published another book- Essentially French. This one is another treasure trove of photos and love for the french style!

"In "Essentially French", antiques dealer and stylist Josephine Ryan offers a privileged glimpse into the homes of antique dealers who have a passion for French style. The homes featured include farmhouses, townhouses and apartments, and their decorative styles may differ, but all have something in common - each and every one showcases the beauty of traditional French furniture and accessories, and demonstrates the understated elegance of French life. From the chic simplicity of a Parisian apartment, to the intriguing eclecticism of a London home and the traditional charm of a Provencal farmhouse, the carefully-chosen locations illustrate the many facets of classic French style."

Josephine also has a shop in London.

If you are ever in London stop by her shop and say hello. I know I will.
