Art is up

Over the weekend I installed the new art pieces in my dining room and I adore them!  Sometimes I wonder why I wait so long to make a decision, it only took me 6 months to decided that these were what I wanted.  I should have purchased them the first time I saw them.

Are you an impulse buyer?  or do you take a long time to make decisions?
For me it depends on the piece...  but usually when I see something I want I know if it is going to work...

(I just got an iphone which I absolutely love..this is an Instagram pic)

California casual

This is one of my favorite styles- California casual with a little industrial vintage mix.  Fun easy going and comfortable while being stylish.  How could you really ask for more?

Man Candy...

Sometimes I think I don't post enough masculine design.. This space is amazing (as is the car).. it is a little something for the guys out there.

I love the sofa and the contrast with the walls along with the artwork and industrial pieces.

I would love to hear from you..  leave a guy comment below so I know you are there if you want to.

Stacked artwork

I have been seeing a lot of great examples of stacked artwork lately and I really love the personal feel that it seems to give to the spaces.  Many of them are living areas but it seems to work over the bed too.  I love the mix of sizes and mediums for something that feels truly eclectic.   It is just a little bit different from the art collage that we typically see in the way that many of these collections reach the ceiling, which is fun and different.  I am thinking of adding to some of my collages in my own home to get this feeling  and to keep up those photos that I just don't want to hide away.

Layering greys

This house is a great transitional mix.  The layering of dark grey and light grey is so relaxing.

LA Mart discoveries...

We headed up to LA for a quick day at the Mart last weekend and found a lot of fun goodies!  I feel in love with the new lamps from Jamie Young.  The glass pieces are amazing!  I want the lamps in the first picture, I just love the color and texture..

Eloquence is always one of my favorites and they had a new larger showroom which was so nice to see everything together.  (note: my Vespa is still available)

We headed upstairs to Bassman Blaine a great way to see some of my favorite lines in one place.  That art is perfect for a job I am working on!  This is just a little peek.  I know it is not the same as going to New York or Atlanta (they are on my list for later this year) but it still does inspire!

Perfectly Imperfect..

This is so fantastic!  I love that someone can appreciate the imperfection of this wall and see it as art.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!  We are running around like crazy here- up to our eyeballs in boxes and packing up all of those purchases from the sale.

I cannot thank you all enough for all of your support with everything in my business including the blog.!!!

Seaweed art by Natural Curiosities

I am loving these pieces from Natural Curiosities.  They make my heart go pitter patter!  The charcoal grey is my favorite.. humm  where oh where could I use them.  Now I have to find a place for them.  I have seen them before but this image keeps on coming up and putting that oversized piece in my face!

It is so fun to see creative people in their homes.  Kate Spade's home is really fun and whimsical.  I love the use of artwork which seems to make a statement in every space.  The colors are bold and inspiring.
