Shopping in Paris: Merci

Their natural linen bedding was amazing!

I fell in love with those lights, if they were wired for the US I would have bought a few to clip over artwork.

This is a display of a table and chairs hanging on the wall by the stairs, I love that bag!

Baby Tolix chairs

Cafe in the basement level.

While in Paris we visited Merci.  This was the first time that I have been to the store and it was so fun!

It was 3 floors of great housewares, furniture, clothing, jewelry, stationary, bedding and accessories.  They had an Urban Picnic theme going on which was very cool, with all types of reusable flatware, dishes etc.  I did not have time to visit the little library/cafe area though sadly, it looked so cool (you can see it in this last picture that I took while we were outside).

I will be back for sure and start earlier because I love stores like this one with unique pieces and beautiful displays!  If you are moving to Paris and want some goodies to fill up your place I think this would be a great place to start- the basement level has some super great pieces (like the tolix chairs- even kids chairs) and they are reasonable too!

I highly recommend it if you are visiting the city there is something for everyone!

Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Art Event

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Lee of Lee Stanton Antiques. While we were chatting about antiques and traveling I mentioned that I was disappointed to have missed their recent event, Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Art while traveling.  Lee was kind enough to give me the opportunity to have a "private tour" of everything that I had missed via their photos of the event.  I am so excited to share some of the fantastic window displays from the event with you!  An amazing amount of detail went into each display - just fantastic!

Next year I will be there to enjoy all of the fun for sure!

bord de scene

After visiting Giverny, Sharon from My French Country home came by and picked us up to start our lovely weekend of shopping and enjoying the French hospitality with her.
Our first stop... bord de scene.

Amazing!
Christelle was a bit embarrassed when I asked to take her photo- but she is so cute- I loved her style!
As you can see her shop was just about perfect in every way.  We left bags of goodies in hand and feeling ultimately inspired and excited to see what was next!
