Going somewhere..

I saw these and was immediately in love- this is some amazing talent!

I have a presentation today and then it is back to the ordering grind for ongoing projects.  I wish I felt like I was moving forward but I am not sure if I am really getting anywhere anymore.

Tomorrow I will share with you a little bit of what I have been up to and I am hoping to get to share some great new books that I have discovered too!

Wishing you a lovely Wednesday.

Perfectly Imperfect..

This is so fantastic!  I love that someone can appreciate the imperfection of this wall and see it as art.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!  We are running around like crazy here- up to our eyeballs in boxes and packing up all of those purchases from the sale.

I cannot thank you all enough for all of your support with everything in my business including the blog.!!!

Paris flash back

I have been dreaming of going back to France for a few weeks now.  I wish I was able to go for the Maison & Objet show, my dream really.  Maybe for the Fall show...  but I have been looking through my pictures and realized that there is a lot that I did not share with you.  These are just a few pictures that I took inside the Louvre, I was a little giddy in there (my shoes were killing my feet and I think I may have lost it for a little while).  I took photos of things that made me smile as you can see!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with things that make you smile!

Vintage doors

I love this use of vintage doors, what a great way to have them be functional and beautiful by mounting them on barn door style hardware.  Totally cool.  Not to mention the color... perfection.

I love the doors from Eleoquence below.. so so cool!
What do you think, do you like the true vintage mix that these doors give in a space?

A Peek at Boston...

When we visited Boston several years ago I fell in love with the buildings and the stone work.  The black shutters with the brick was a perfect match!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday weekend!

A room with a view of Paris

When we stayed in Paris, I decided that staying in an apartment would be the way to go.  I had heard great things about the difference it could make in your trip.  Having a place to rest your head that was more of a home was very appealing to me.  I have been to Paris several times and my best trips were spent with a friend who lived there for a few years in an amazing apartment just steps from the Tuleries Gardens.  Both times I stayed with her I really felt like Paris could be home for me.  I knew the neighborhood and where I could eat comfortably as well as the great shopping that was near by.

This time I wanted to stay as close as possible to the neighborhood that I knew.  Maybe not my best choice.  I struggled to find an apartment that worked for 3 of us in the 1st Arr.

We settled in an apartment from A la Carte Paris in the 17th.  It was perfect for us, clean, comfortable and it had a cute little kitchen and a large bathroom.  The view was perfectly wonderful and the neighborhood divine.   Shopping was super close and quite good.  Even a small outdoor market several days a week, we were able to buy fresh food everyday and really enjoy all that Paris had to offer.

It made the trip and gave us the feeling of home!  I learned a thing or two about Paris and it's neighborhoods, there is more than one great place in the city and maybe I should give them all a try.

touch of blue...

While walking in Paris I fell in love with this place.  I think it may have been a small hotel.  The door colors were a perfect accent to the stone...

They always seem to get it right.. ahh France.

The light fixture in the entryway was simple and special, as was the man in the suit!  (he was very sweet and I think a little embarrassed when I took his photo)

Roof Tops of Paris...

I simply love architecture and the beautiful lines of buildings in Paris is at the top of my list of favorites!

We had the luxury of being on the top floor of our hotel the first few nights that we spent in Paris and this was a little bit of our view..

So perfect!

Happy weekend to you!

What are your plans?

I will be sorting through all of my goodies and tucking them away for later use as well as
celebrating my big guy's 9th birthday..

How quickly time passes..
