French inspiration..

Some days more than others I feel very inspired..  In remodeling my own kitchen I have found that I am very inspired by the look of vintage display cabinets.  I am assuming that many of the pieces I have seen and saved images away of are vintage shop cabinets- much like this one from France.  These pieces make me smile inside..  they remind me of some of my other French favorites.  As I am sure you know if you have read the blog for a little while I am completely obsessed with Vintage French goodies as well as some new French goodies too.

Thank you to Vicki at French Essence for posting about her kitchen and her dishes yesterday, you got my wheels spinning and reminded me I need to make a wish list of dishes for my next trip to France in the spring...  So here are a few of my favorites for the kitchen and a little French Inspiration.

Have a day dreamy Tuesday!

LA Mart Highlights

These are just a few of my favorites from the LA show.  I was so excited to see Eloquence with their showroom there again.  I picked up that long mirror for myself and the pendants above are the same as the pieces I bought for my kitchen remodel.

It was a small show this time but I did get exactly what I needed in the showrooms we visited which was a good addition to going to Atlanta.

greige and gold.. again

These two images are completely what I am loving right now.  That mirror in the top image needs to be mine along with the little gold table from Aidan Grey.  They represent that vintage mix that seems so perfect!

Love them!

Vintage Flags

I have to admit that I have a weakness for vintage flags, a big weakness.  I love them and seem to be picking them up often at the flea market each month.  We framed a large union jack for my son's bedroom which looks pretty amazing but I have a bunch of other pieces that I need to do something with.  I see them often now and think that they make great showpieces.

What about you do you love this latest trend in framed and hanging vintage flags in design?  Do you have any?

Paris Patina...

Even with a lot of wear and tear this Parisian apartment makes my heart skip a beat.  How do they do it?  It is so perfectly imperfect.  The floors are amazing along with all of the moulding details.  I am not sure how much I would want to change if I lived there.  What about you - would you feel the need to fix this beauty up or keep it just so?

Lost in Arles...

A few weeks back I was feeling a little out of sorts.. a little lost at the beginning of the year, it always seems like a time when you should be overly motivated, ready to run out of the gates and get some things really taken care of, make changes and plan for the year ahead.  Well, I was in a total funk and kinda bummed out.  On a Sunday morning I had a chance to take a little time to myself and was wandering around in the land of the blogs, I came across Lost in Arles a blog written by Heather,  I spent well over an hour reading her posts and looking through her beautiful photos.   I finally felt like myself, I felt inspired and awake for the first time in what seemed like a month (the holidays really took a lot out of me this year).  I am ready to go, ready to be inspired, ready to travel and ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead.   Maybe I will visit France in the Fall this year, I know I will be working on stream lining my time and energy into projects that I really want and need to do, and maybe just maybe I will be taking a few more leaps of faith this year.

I wanted to thank Heather and thank all of the bloggers that take their time posting so many fantastic images and inspiration!

Vintage Urns

I have this deep love for vintage urns, I was browsing through the new container images from the boys at Atelier de Campagne and I am loving all of these..  Pairs of them make my heart skip a beat!

Can you imagine them flanking a door or on the mantle?  Just so perfect to add that little bit of something with some great live plants added in.

this week I am loving..

It is funny there are some weeks when inspiration eludes me and then there are some where it is everywhere and I cannot keep it straight!  I am absolutely loving everything here!  I love vintage chairs and their time worn look, the lovely layers of grey from Atelier de Campagne, and Lauren at Pure Style Home's new textile line.
Do you ever find too much inspiration?  I like to take mine and store it away for a day when I am feeling a little out of sorts and use it to get me back on track!
