New Year big plans...

First of all thank you for all of your sweet comments on the photos from instagram, it is a great way to capture a moment in time for me.  I was flipping trough pictures from trips to Paris and found these from a trip a long time ago in Portugal.  I posted some photos once before but these got me thinking... I love to travel and this year will be no different but I have not nailed down my path as of yet and I cannot wait to share where I am going!  In looking back I see how things change for me over the years, what I focus on when I travel and how I try to capture it.  This is a small walled town that was so amazing in contrast.  I tried to capture the colors that they were so bold with on the buildings.  Amazing!
What does 2013 hold for you?  Any plans yet?  I always love to hear good ideas so bring them on!

Off course...

 We have been busy at work here while the holidays are going on all around us.  This is a little peek at the project we just installed on Tuesday.  It is always nice to see it come to life when all of the pieces come together.

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday!  We have another install today- wish me luck!

Oh my...

Oh my... this space makes everything better..  I am going to vent a little... so please forgive me..

Please please everyone remember that every site and every blog has a person behind it or people.  Real people!  People who are hurt by anything rude or inappropriate that you send around about them. Anywhere.  Especially via email, these come right to the inbox- right here on my computer {hello}!  If you are going to take the time to write something and hit the send or post button you should at the very least sign it and realize that I will have a way to contact you maybe even with your very own email address.  So once again if you don't have anything nice to say please do not say anything at all, because to me and so many of us this is all very personal!  Be nice, there is no reason not to!

Okay now- is this room not totally amazing?  I love the color change on the walls I love the soft lines of the linen on the sofa and the combination of textures and pattern in the pillows.  This makes me happy!

A little of this..

Hello there, sorry for my absence yesterday... how quickly the days seem to pass.  Another busy week is almost ready to be put to rest and I am definitely dreaming of the weekend.  This weekend will be just us girls relaxing here at home, my daughter and me.  I am excited to take a little break from work and spend some time getting the house in order.
We start our final round on the kitchen renovation next week and I am excited and anxious about it.  There are still many choices to be made, that is how it is works around here.  I did speak with my furniture maker yesterday though and we are going to put a contrasting color in the new piece that will hold all of my everyday dishes, now someone needs to pick that color please!
I have pulled a bunch of greys, and greiges to start with.  I will be sure to keep you up to date on all of the selections.
 I am also working with the wonderful Shari from Little Blue Deer on a makeover for the blog, it will be fun to have a fresh new look around here don't you think?

Also, a little bit of a delayed THANK YOU to Leaf Magazine for including some pieces from the shop in their current issue!

Pheromone by Christopher Marley {giveaway}

 While I was in Atlanta at the show I had a chance to visit one of my favorite artists Pheromone by Christopher Marley.  His pieces are amazing and I have been using them for quite some time in different projects.  I have not seen him at a show for a while so I was very excited to get up to date and see his latest designs

I ordered several mineral pieces for a project that I am working on as well as some bugs and butterfly pieces to place here and there.

The feathers are by far one of my new favorites!

I ordered a few of his books too- so I picked one up for you!

For a chance to win a signed copy of Pheromone please stop by their site and let us know your favorite.  Also, you can get another chance to win by tweeting about the giveaway or posting on facebook.

Please leave a separate comment for each entry and make sure we can contact you through your profile if not please leave your email address.  Our winner will be drawn on Sunday August 19th.

Best of Luck!

greige on the outside..

The exterior of this home in Los Angeles is so gorgeous!  I love the grey in the siding and the shutters just a subtle color change and it contrasts so nicely with the landscape.  Really the green in the landscape makes the colors work so well.  Looking forward to another busy and successful week here!

Design Travler: {San Juan Puerto Rico}

Mostly because I am pretty sure that this has been one of the longest weeks of my life and because I know that there is just more to come, I am dreaming of our relaxing days on vacation.  I fell for Old San Juan in Puerto Rico when we visited.  The buildings were colorful and the sea was beautiful there.  We visited the Fort and walked through the old town for a few hours in the steaming heat!  I do recommend an afternoon there if you are planning a visit.

I will finish up this "series" of posts on Puerto Rico in the next few weeks with a post about the Island of Vieques and a little more detail on the fabulous design of the hotel we stayed at.  (Sorry that most of the pictures are instagram, even though I love it, I left without the battery for my good camera so I had to improvise.)

Wishing you a weekend filled with long beach days and warm evenings!
