I fell in love with this space in the recent show house from Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles.

I even used it for lifestyle inspiration for a client and in doing so I was trying without much luck to find the source for the chair pictured in the room.

The French House is located in England and it looks like a little piece of chair heaven!  I am obsessed with old chairs and recovering them (currently have 5 projects in the works for old chairs).  I think I would die if I were to see so many beauties in one space... Not to mention all of the other treasures it looks like they have there!

Sometimes it is just the right amount of clutter to make you feel at home and to make life interesting.

I am not sure what to say even...  I think my favorite part is the chandelier...

Some days don't you just wish life would take you away to another place?

I am currently loving these chairs- just lovely!!  I know that the style is very popular right now and I think that Vintage is definitely the way to go here.  Look at those fabulous details!

Okay so this is my current obsession!! I love these half upholstered chairs with the burlap, strings hanging and the fabric all distressed... I want one or two or three really badly!!













Maybe it is just that I can see the true construction of the piece and see that it must have this amazing history that has been striped away with what I am sure was some kind of dingy ancient fabric... I can only imagine where it has been and what it has seen...

I don't know what it is but I currently adore the tufted chairs and sofas. In a natural linen or a soft blue- even leather makes me want them!! They are out there in plenty of styles and sizes- so you can find one that is just perfect for you. This style is traditionally called Chesterfield with it's high arms and tufting. There are a few different takes on these pieces here and they are all just perfect. Tufted pieces work with everything and are being used more and more in transitional design these days.
